About this site
What it is
Paraphrase Pass is a reference directory for one subject: what happens to a piece of text between a model writing it and a person reading it. That covers the statistical marks the model companies now add, the detectors that try to guess authorship, the paraphrasing tools that rewrite text, the research that tests all three, and the laws that now govern them.
The name is the industry's term for a single rewrite sweep over a document. A paraphrase pass is also the simplest known way to strip a watermark, which is why the subject needs a map.
What it is not
It is not a tool. It does not rewrite, detect or mark anything. It does not recommend ways to evade detection, and it does not rank humanizers. Listing is not endorsement.
How entries are chosen
An entry gets in if it is a primary source, a widely used tool, a published paper, a law, or a feed that reports changes first. Every entry says what the thing is, who runs it, roughly what it costs, and any known limit. Every link is opened by a person on the date shown.
Independence
No affiliate links, no sponsored placements, no paid entries. The site is maintained by a small independent publisher in Michigan and funded by nobody in this market.
Corrections
If an entry is wrong, stale or missing, the fastest route is the contact address on this domain: corrections at paraphrasepass dot com. Corrections are logged on the updates page.
